1. How do I place and order?

Select the items that you want from the Products and Accessories pages, clicking on the “Add To Cart” icon for each item. Then go to the Orders page and check that your order is correct. For instant payment via Credit Card, click on the “Continue to Checkout” icon. You will be taken to our secure payment area. You can either pay with a credit card or from a paypal account (if you have one). You do not need to join Paypal to use your credit card. Australian residents can also pay via direct deposit. Once you have selected the items you want, go to the Order page for direct deposit details. Once you have made the payment please send us an email detailing what you have ordered and your delivery address. We can also process credit card payments over the phone or in person at our office.

2. How long will it take to receive my order?

Within Australia – all orders are sent via Express Post or Express Post Platinum which takes 1-2 working days (except remote locations which may take longer). Orders are usually dispatched the same day as the order is placed. International – all orders are sent via DHL and typically take 3-5 working days, depending on your location.

3. How much does shipping cost?

Zip. Zero. Zilch. Shipping is free of charge worldwide.

4. Do you ship to other countries?

Yes, we ship worldwide via DHL.

5. Do I need a video camera to record onto?

Comp, Team and Pro Kits – yes, you need a camcorder or portable media recorder with an A/V input to record onto. Not all video cameras have this function. V.I.O. POV1 & ELMO SUV Cam – No, the POV1 and SUV-cam are self contained units that record onto SD cards.

6. Is my video camera compatible?

If you can record from an external source (i.e. TV or video) back onto your video camera, then yes it is compatible. If you are not sure, please contact us and we will advise on your cameras compatibility.

7. Are the helmet cameras waterproof?

The Comp, Team and Pro cameras are IP66 waterproof rated, however they are not designed for continual submersion. They will withstand continual rain, snow and sleet and short term submersion (in less than 5m of water). The V.I.O. POV1, including the recording unit, is completely waterproof and rated to 1m for 15 minutes continual submersion. We are currently developing a surfing specific helmet cam that will allow long term submersion at higher pressures.

8. Does the helmet camera come with a warranty?

Yes, Launch Helmet Cams offers a 12 month manufacturers “no tamper” warranty on all helmet cams. The warranty covers defects in parts and workmanship. The warranty is void if the camera has been opened, disassembled or tampered with in any way. The warranty does not cover cameras that have been damaged due to improper use or crashes. The Nukeproof mount and Pelican hard cases come with a lifetime warranty.
