Launch Helmet Cams is the brainchild of Matt Fitzhardinge and Markland O’Connell, two Western Aussies who just love riding. Their passion for riding and a fascination with technology has evolved into the business that they run today.
Markland comes from a motocross background; he started riding dirt bikes back when he was 8 years old on a farm in the south west of WA. He started racing when he was 10 and has been fascinated with it ever since! Markland also rides downhill and skate parks on mountain bikes and loves wakeboarding and surfing. His career background is in the science and automotive industry.
Matt grew up surfing and skateboarding on the WA south coast. When he moved to the city to study he found the joy of mountain bikes and has never looked back. He has traveled extensively throughout Australia and overseas, spending a couple of seasons mountain biking and snowboarding in Canada. After riding road bikes and mountain bikes for many years, he has recently made the natural progression to dirt bikes. His career background is in mechanical engineering.
